House sites and other known sites visited included Robert (Bob) Simmons, William Farmer, Glen Farmer, Seaborn & Isabell Farmer, Messer Farmer, The old Indian trading post, and the corn shed. Pearl Wilson was told the corn shed story long ago by the late Seaborn Farmer. Also, Brown Baby grave, Cal Smith, Huge Brown, Buzzard Roost, Frank Kelly Richard Simmons and the old remains of still sites in every hollow. There were six known communities in the Lake Russell Wildlife Management Area before the final purchase of property by the government during the 1930's.
