Ferabrew Cemetery

Oct 6, 2012 FADED FOOTPRINTS OF FAMILIES AND FRIENDS OF THE LRWMA toured forest service road 389 and cleaned the Ferabrew/ferabe cemetery. The historic cemetery consists of approximately 30 graves. Four of these graves have soapstone crypts. Only one grave had a readable inscription. 'Ferabrews' Elias ferabe was a native of England who owned 650 acres along Leatherwood creek. Other known sites in the area: Wade Naves, James Brady, Al Acre/Acree, Hays/Hayes Mill, Florence Landers, Segers, Taylor, Holcombe/Holcomb, Davis, Moss and other unknown house sites.
